The Koboi Dango is a symbol conceived specially for this Tokyo Edition of Cowboys and Indians. It is a Japanese peach, dumpling associated with the celebration of the myth of Momotaro, The peach filling is substituted with version of Indian mango pickle or manggai pachadi, which in turn is symbolic in the context of Tamil culture. Traditional Mango Pachadi conveys the 6 Ayurveda flavors or rasas – sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter and astringent. My conception of the symbolic Koboi Dango and it was artfully realized by Hiroyoshi Takeda.
