The Melaka Gateway reclamation and deep-sea port development is a node in China's far sighted and far reaching global infrastructure known as One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative. This expansive geo-political-economic development is the latest of many such infrastructures that are identified with China in world history. The Silk Route, the Great Wall of China and, now, this OBOR development, all speak of China's cyclic dominance in world affairs. Here is an extract from March of the Volunteers, which is the National Anthem of the People's Republic of China -
